Bought a 2005 300C in June 2004. Had only three problems: 1. the Continental tires didn't last long -- so I replaced them with long-wearing Pirellis; 2. The chrome strip on the driver's side rear door extended too far over to the driver's door, sometimes making it difficult to get out -- so I cut the strip (not as pretty, but functional and few notice the difference); and 3. Several times the rear windows would not roll down (thought it was electrical) -- the windows get stuck at the top because of the seals, so simply slam the door then power down the rear window.

The biggest problem just started -- the car can stall. Generally, the stalls have happened shortly after letting the fuel get low and then filling the tank. The engine light does not come on, and there is usually not problem getting it to start again. But stalling on the express way with trucks bearing down at top speeds, it too scary to keep the car. Thinking flex-fuel, Escolade.

2005 Chrysler 300 Touring. 6 cyl. Many problems with this car. Love the look and drive, but hate the problems. Now, the dashboard lights are blinking and the check battery light is on. Is it the alternator? What else can it be?

I have a 2005 300 touring with the 3.5 engine and i have had it for 2 years now, no real problems to complain about but there were a couple issues when i first got it, the first one was a really bad rattle when i went over a several bumps all at once at slow speeds, and that was a clip that holds the brake pads on the caliper once they get worn to a certain point the clips come loose and rattle replace the pads and the clip comes with the pads so replace that also and your rattle goes away.

The other thing was a clunking noise when going over bumps took it to sears and nothing found, took it to a friends garage and we found that the tension strut when moved front to back would move not suppose to so i had sears replace it, they still said nothing wrong till i got under the car and showed them and the mechanic said he never would have found it because they usually go up and down not front to back, dealer item for about $125 plus labor and that took care of the clunking.

Hope that helps someone
Marvin

My 2005 300C is in the shop for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. It just bogs down all of a sudden. Today I thought I had a flat tire! But the engine light came on. No flat! It's with the service department and they don't have a clue.

As for the rattling, Pete: have them check the steering column. I had the same problem with my 98 300M. After replacing several parts and numerous trips, they finally found it! You described the same issue I had.

For those of you with the window issues: The right rear window worked very seldom on mine. They replaced the regulator and it works fine now.

I have a Chrysler 300 limited, and I have noise coming from both sides of the front end. It sounds like something is loose when going over bumps. I've had mechanics look at it and can't find anything wrong. This particular model has 2 sets oof lower ball joints. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have a Chrysler 300c w/Hemi and have had it into the dealer 3 times for the transmission. The problem I am having is the transmission does not want to engage, the RPM's rev up and the car will not move. Then it finally takes hold and the car begins to drive. 1st time I brought it into the dealership and they did find a leaking seal and it was repaired. This only seems to happen when the weather temperature is down in the 20's and below. The dealership is telling me that they can't duplicate it and so I have to pay for my rental car and nothing has been fixed. Today it happened again and the temperatures was down into the teens at night and got to in the 30's and it did it again, but, this time when the transmission did engage, it kept shifting in and out of gear and then it finally worked its way out and ran fine again.

Has anyone had any of these problems with their 300c. I love the car and the handling is the best, but, this problem has me scared that the transmission is faulty.

I have a 2005 300c with 112k miles on it. I loved it and had minor problems at worst. One week ago after returning from shopping, my car wouldn't start. I had it towed to the dealer and they said that a piece of metal broke off from somewhere in the engine and destroy one of my cylinders.

Time for a new engine $8,500.00

For those of you that have had this car for a few months watch out and make sure you have warranty cover! It is a great looker and I LOVE my 2005 300c........but Im selling it after too many problems!

Sunroof constantly rattles after being "fixed" numerous times
Engine just cut out in the middle of a road....twice
Memory seat settings stopped working
The side runner fell off my car!!!!!!
And today I got in the car and the gear stick is stuck in Park.....technician towed my baby away to be "fixed" once again.

To be honest, I think this is one of the best looking cars on the road at the moment, but the quality is way under par!Next time Ill go with Audi or Mercedes Benz!

I have owned my 07 Chrysler 300C for almost 1 yr. now and 3 times, my car has just turned off in the middle of traffic. No explanation, just turned off. I am afraid of being in traffic and being rear ended....I have taken it to the dealership 3 times now and they said no code is stored in the car and therefore they have no starting point. What can i do? I am afraid to drive it anywhere with fear that I can have an accident, and i do have precious cargo on board!

My husband has a 2005 chrysler 300 and it has been nothing but problems since he bought it! The windsheild wipers don't work properly, the dealership said they fixed the problem and they still don't work properly, The back windows will only go up and down sometimes and they have been looked at and the dealer said they couldn't recreate the problem, the airbag light has come on several times also checked and they said they couldn't recreate the problem, the alternator stopped working and when a diagnostic was done at advanced auto it said it needed to be replaced, but when it was taken to the dealership they said it was working fine. The cruise control will cut itself on and off! The current problem is the car has begun to brake by itself and it seems to do it when the cruise control is on. They say they can't recreate the problem. We've contacted a lwyer because this car is definately a lemon!

I have a Chrysler 300c and during the first 1000kilometers the engine just cut off while I was in motion, I have the 5 star package and they "Fixed" the problem (computer) in March 2008 I had the annual 10,000 mile check-up all was fine , then last week the engine just cut off leaving me in high speed traffic (autobahn - germany) and in a very dangerous position again it was towed and repaired 2 days later the engine again without warning just cut off now the car is back in the shop for second time in one week , I love the look of the car but I am now afraid to drive it especially on the highway...my lawyer says it is un-safe to drive and is investigating my options... next car a Mercedes Benz.

50,000 miles into the life and I have just replaced new tie rods.

Sometimes, the drivers side window stops moving during the "auto-up" action IF I hold the rear window button up at the same time, WIERD.

Still pulls to the right after many attempts to correct.

The "RAIN" sensing function is terrible. The wipers seem to adjust to the speed of the car so when I stop they do as well. What kind of sense does this make? I need to see even if I'm stopped don't I. The adjustments on the handle appear to have no affect at all. It's just easier to shut the stupid thing off.

Love the car, hate the little problems.

Does anyone else have a 2005 300C that cannot pass over the parking curbs without scraping the life out of all the plastic under guards? The tire pressure is checked once a month and has never failed to crunch over a parking curb!
We panic anytime we see parking curbs and try to find a spot without one, not always possible. Very dissappointed and will post more as we find others with this problem

I have owned a chrysler 300 for 1 year now, and all i have been having is problems. I had taken it to Great West Chrylser about 4 times, and all that they said is that there was nothing wrong and they sent me on my way. my car pulls to the right, air bag light is always, tie rod ends are loose, fuel injector problems. They told me that my steering pump is going and told me to just leave it until it goes and then they will replace it. I told them that if my steering pump goes, then i will have no steering whatsoever, and that i could get into an accident, and maybe even lose my life. their reply to that was, well, we will not replace it until it goes.

HELP !!! THIS CAR IS A LEMON, WHAT CAN I DO?
diemler chrysler will not help me, nobody will, what do you suggest?

Laurie =(

The 300C is a great attempt by Chrysler to build a hit car. But wow, what problems I have had. Now trying to get the car replaced. It was delivered with all sorts of problems and neither the dealer nor factory can figure out what to do.

Engine lite comes on at random intervals for no reason!

Car steers to the right. Chrysler came out with a service bulletin that fixed most problems, but it still steers to the right.

Passenger air bag arms at random. With a passenger in the seat, it usually will not arm! How's that for a potential nightmare? Dealer cannot fix it, and I wrote to the President of Chrysler and they aren't sure what to do.
