Bought a 2005 300C in June 2004. Had only three problems: 1. the Continental tires didn't last long -- so I replaced them with long-wearing Pirellis; 2. The chrome strip on the driver's side rear door extended too far over to the driver's door, sometimes making it difficult to get out -- so I cut the strip (not as pretty, but functional and few notice the difference); and 3. Several times the rear windows would not roll down (thought it was electrical) -- the windows get stuck at the top because of the seals, so simply slam the door then power down the rear window.
The biggest problem just started -- the car can stall. Generally, the stalls have happened shortly after letting the fuel get low and then filling the tank. The engine light does not come on, and there is usually not problem getting it to start again. But stalling on the express way with trucks bearing down at top speeds, it too scary to keep the car. Thinking flex-fuel, Escolade.
