Bravo. Needless to say, I am in the same boat as you. I have been a victim of restructuring twice. I have plenty of rants, raves, conspiracies, criticisms, etc., and yes, I have dedicated a blog just on this subject (from a non-recruiter/HR point of view.).

Craigslist is my most hated "resource" for the job search. I say this because a) it's full of spam, as you mentioned, b) NOT user-friendly at all. The jobs category is horrendous. I want more info besides job title and location before I click on it..and c) It's just scary as hell.
It's very nice to meet you (considering the circumstances) and I will be sure to visit your blog. It's a nice change of pace to "hear" someone else's voice on this issue besides mine. :)
