How can a message of love (Course in the Miracles) be the work of Satan? You better read 2Corinthians 11:3-4,13-15.Satan can do wonders to decieve people to love a lie and dismiss the truth. First of all what do you mean by love? To abstact.Also love does not determine truth. If that is the case, then the Muslims hi-jackers who crash the planes into the twin towers were right. They were only following the Koran regarding the infidels (surah 9:5,9:25). A book they loved. A prophet they loved.They were promise heaven for being a martyr( hadith/ Bukhari editon). Please do not say this was not love. Because thats only your personal defination. Feelings do not determine truth.To subjuctive. Proverbs 14:12 " there is a way which seems right onto a man,but the end is the way of death". How can you be sure to interpret the Bible correctly? Depends on what your reading. There is an immediate context and also one which is applicable for today. Also depends on the the particular book of the bible. Theres historical context. How can you be sure to interpret the Course in Miracles Correctly? Which edition?The Ur-text,(original editon of the Course)or the current edition? Oh by the way, there is whole sections of Helen's Schucman Ur-text not found in the current edition of the Course. Close to 35,000 words missing!Also I forget to mention theres a third edition of the Course in Miracles, different then the other two,Hugh lynn Cacye's Editon of the Course! Not so with the Bible.There is 25,000 manscripts of the original autographs; supporting the preservation the bible.Some manuscripts dating less then 100 years from the original autographs. Also the Dead Sea Scrolls,which pre-dated by almost 1,000 years, the earlist manuscripts;show that the bible ,word of God had been preserved, and not corrupted. Please do not try to point to suppose lost books of the bible. Sorry the council Of Jamnia in 90 A.D. refuted those books as being false.Also the Apostles' disciples such as Polycarp,Tertillian, and Greek Apologist of 2nd century; refuted those fake books. They studied under the Historical Jesus disciples. So we have their writings today,to tell us the real biblical books from the fake. Also the different bibles today, are not different messages. Some are based on early manscripts,others later manuscripts. Some are only paraphase editions. However, they all maintain the message of the gospel 1Corinthians 15 :1-4 ;death,burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.The Course in Miracles was published in 1975. Only 34 years ago.Whole sections of Ms. Schucman original text are not in the current edition! Almost 35,000 words missing! This brings up many questions. Which of three editions does one accept?Why one edition over the others? What was Helen's and Bill's reference point? How do they know the inner voice,which spoke to Helen, was really Jesus'voice and not a demon or a fallen angel voice impersonating him? What was her refernce point? If she had no reference point,then how does one know that she was not decieved? For you who read and believe in the Course of Miracles,how do you know that the inner voice[which speaks to you], is really Jesus' voice and not a demon impersonating Jesus? Peace,love,joy are not a way to determine truth. This is subjective.Oponion! Jesus stated in the bible in Matthew 15:16-20, that our heart can give us a false feeling or testimony.Also see Proverbs17:9. So again what is your reference point? The real Jesus of the bible will not harm or deceive,but a false one will. Because he does not exist! Another question.The Course teaches everything is an illusion or dream.The material world is not true. Then how do you know that the A Course in Miracles is not part of the Dream or Illusion? Its a phyiscal book. My reference point is not my feeling.Feelings are nothing more than opinion. They are not fact.My reference point is the Jesus of the bible.Who raise from the dead. A historical fact!The same Jesus who is "THE" Christ.Not a christ as the Course teaches. read what was written 2,000 years ago in 1John2:22,"who is a anti-christ but he who says that Jesus is not "THE" Christ". Not a christ or a part of christ, but THE Christ. Helen and Bill were wrong.The jesus of the Course in Miracles is not the same Jesus of the Bible. The jesus of the course states "the journey of the cross is useless"; "also do not make a pathetic error of clinging to the old rugged cross".[text p.52]. where as the real Jesus stated:"for the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,but to those being saved it is the power of God."( 1 Corinthians 1:17). The jesus of the Course stated,"a slain christ has no meaning" [text p.425].The Jesus of the Bible stated: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son,that whoever believes in Him shall not die ,but have everlasting life.For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save it." (John 3:16-17).the Course teaches,"my salavation comes from me"[lesson #70]. where as the Bible stated the opposite." let be known to all of you...that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth... nor is there salvation in any other name under heaven given among men by which WE most be saved".( Acts4:10,12)." If you confessed with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved."(Romans 10:9-10). The jesus of the Course said" there is no sin".[combined volume p.183]. The Bible States: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light,we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."(1 John 1:6-9). Their is so much more.As a born again christian familiar with Course in Miracles I most reject the message of its jesus. he is not the biblical Jesus.ITS A DIFFERENT JESUS. The course jesus is a different jesus that the real One.The real Jesus warned His followers, 2,000 years ago to watch out for people introducing and presenting a false jesus."then if anyone(Helen Schucman), tells you here is the Christ or there!,( in the book A Course in Miracles),Do not believe it. for false christ and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to decieve,if possible,even the elect.See I have told you before hand".(Matthew 24:23-24).Yes,Helen is a false prophet.One does not have to be a self proclaim prophet to be one. She recieved suppernatual information which she claimed was not of human origin.So this makes her a propthet. Also read Deut.18:20-22 and 13:1-5. Her information is false and not inspired by the God of the bible. Finally ,I am not attacking Ms.Schucman nor those who enjoy reading the Course in Miracles. I am only responding to and answering the attacks and mis-information the Course makes against historic chrisianity and the Jesus of the bible. "but sanctify the Lord God Jesus in your heart and always give a defence to all those who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and fear".(1peter3:15)
