I read the claims made by a news woman about weight loss and increased energy from the certified acai. I ordered the free trial offer for $2.95. I was automatically signed up for a website membership in which I did not want so I called right away and cancelled that after being offered multiple discounts to try it. I was told that I could try the certified acai until December 2 and I would need to cancel it by then. So I called today to cancel and told them the product did not do what it said. I was told it may take longer for some people to work and I was offered a 25% and then a 50% discount. I still said I wanted to cancel but was told that I could cancel but my credit card was charged yesterday and I was suppose to call yesterday to cancel. I said that I was told the 2nd not the first and I ask to talk with a manager. I was told the managers were in a meeting. I ask for them to called me back but I have not heard from them. I called my credit card company who said the charge was made today for $64.95. I hope that this site will help prevent someone else from ordering from them. After reading the above comments I am concerned about other charges and will be canceling by credit card. Thank you to those of you who placed your comments.

I read the article this lady was doing and it said as seen on abc, fox news, cnn, and usa today they tell you how they tried it and everything was good and it really works. But yet they forget to mention that the trial period is from the day that you call not the day you received the items. Which it comes in two different packages I received it on the 19 of November. Am in the moving process so when I go to the bank I noticed I got charged 88.77 so I called they say my trial period was over! I havent even opened it! What am I supposed to do what type of free trail is this? So as I kept going on with this at the end the were going to only refund me 44.38. after I come back from my Thanksgiving holiday on Tuesday I check my bank account and I noticed ANOTHER 88.55 for the other bottle so I called the other number they said this is for the other bottle. I assumed that 88 was for both bottles that came in the one package not 88 dollars for each bottle. Then I Also Noticed another charge for 24.95 for some membership wtf ! This is more than a scam.. People shouldnt be like this its not right maybe if I was aware of how much this was going to be for something I havent even tried I would have never listen to the news broadcaster that said it was good.

I got caught in the Certified Acai scam also, just got billed for $24.95 and $64.95. I've already turned it in to my credit card fraud division. When I talked with CA customer service they appeared to be quite used to calls like mine, I assume that this is their business model. I also submitted a complaint to the Maine Attorney General's office and plan to submit one to the NC AG office also. Since the product was delivered by USPS I am considering submitting a claim of mail fraud.

If the rating is for the blog -- I give it a 10. If it's for the company that sells the product -- I give it a -1! There is one born every minute -- and this is my minute. I skimed over the fine print. They agreeded to not bill my CC if I sent back the unused pills -- but said they would charge me $24.95 for some health club membership and that it was not refundable. I going to protest this with my cc company and refuse to pay. I didn't order it, I didn't use it and I never regerstered! Also will contact BBB and Attorney General. Lesson: Before buying on the internet --check out the company and the product!

My experience matches everyone elses, but I'm going to fight back. I have paperwork to document everything they said (and didn't say), so I'm going to notify the Attorney General in Maine, the BBB in Scarborough, Maine, my credit card fraud bureau, and the company that referred me to the website for Certified Acai. I am not going to pay them period. If everyone would notify the above people, we could put these crooks out of business. Please do it!

If you ordered from Certified Acai cancel now, the number is 1-888-247-5013.

I wish there was a way to notify more people about this scam. I thought I read every detail in the contract. Just like Brad, I was charge $64.95 the another $24.95 for some website membership. I even called to cancel within the 15 day trial period. They did credit me $32.95. I have no idea where that number came from.

I'm not sure why sandie or brad rated this blog only a 1 it should be a 10!! We need to make more people aware of there scam!

This was Certified Acai. Don't be tempted.

Yep! Another marketing scam! Sandie was right! No such thing as a free trial.....got the 12 day notice when i received the product. By the 14thday, i was charged a website membership fee of $24.95....where did this come from?????? Also, $64.95 for that firs free bottle.....what happened to the free 30 day trial????? All this after looking at the online ad that just says Free 30 trial and ONLY pay $2.95 shipping. Boy, don't i feel stupid. How can a product be successfull with a marketing scam like that???

I read the review by Mary Cunningwood and decided to try the so called "free trial" on the web site it states that you have 30 days to try the product for the low shipping cost of $0.99. I should have known it sounded too good to be true! The company charged me the $0.99 for shipping on each bottle then turned around and charged me $79.95 for each bottle (the Acai berry and colon detox) 2 and a half weeks before the 30 day "free" trial was up! No where in any of the any of the small print did I read that I only had 10 days (from the date ordered, not received) could I cancel without further charges. Also, the offers said the cost was $39.95 so why $40.00 more. It is a scam, doesn't matter if the products work or not I would NEVER EVER recommend or use them again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The whole world should be told not to trust either the recommender or the company selling the product!
