One of the very first things you should do when you start your AeroGarden is to connect it to a good surge protector. I have two Classic AeroGardens and one AeroGarden 3, all of which were blown out by a power surge. The Classics have a fuse in the base unit which did not blow, but the electronics in the base unit did. That is a mystery. Anyway, buy that surge protector.
