American Wayfarer

http://paradisejournal.viviti.com/

I am married to my charming wife Belinda, who I think is addicted to Filipino television soaps. We live in Danao City, Philippines, with our teenage son Junior who can be pretty crafty at times and our eight dogs. Like most Filipino households at times the bedlam in our house is incredible to an American. I distrust organized religion and politicians. I am no longer a practicing Born Again Christian or someone who thinks that Rush Limbaugh speaks to God. I’ve never liked tequila but I love Mexican food, chips and salsa. And sometimes I think I’m a clone of Barney Fife since at times I bungle through life. I hope there’s special spot in heaven for me.

Here in Danao City, I find the US dollar is decreasing in value, and the cost of products going up, as a result making the dollar more and more worthless. By the way just what happen to the USD? Five years ago, the dollar was trading at P55 to 1 USD ...

I get a kick out of the things that I buy here; I wish could sell them in the US for three or even four times what I pay here and make a profit while providing a bargain to American shoppers...and in a different life I was a Wal-Mart shopper. We can ...
