I have a 1901 Wooden Hand Crank Washing Machine That is still in great Condition. I have taken it to a few antique shops around but nobody knows much about its worth. Does anybody know where I could get an appraisal or find some collecters of antique aplliances?

thank you for having this blog, I am a collector and really enjoy hearing about other people and the collections, Keep up the great work!! We have a film out about people and their objects of desire. http://www.americancollectorsmovie.com
This is one person in the film who collects Antique Beaded Purses.

PURSE COLLECTOR IN OUR FILM FINDS THE MYSTERY OF THE GIANT PURSE

A passionate antique purse collector who is featured in the documentary film, American Collectors, hit the jackpot due to some good luck on eBay and a special film screening.

The one of a kind purse is featured in the film American Collectors. Viewing the film at a sneak preview at the 2009 San Francisco Antique Purse Society Convention, another collector recognized the purse. The following week, she emailed a copy of a photograph of the original owner and detailed information on the purse's provenance. The purse features over 1,000,000 beads with a design taken from the windows of a Church in Rueil France. It was listed as the world's largest beaded purse and valued at $250,000 in 1928. The purse had been purchased on eBay in 2005, but the collector had no idea of its pedigree.

"I knew it was one of a kind and very special, but now I know there are over 1 million beads in this purse and it is probably still the largest beaded purse in the world!" The ecstatic collector plans to find a more suitable home for the purse, possibly at the Smithsonian.

I have a dish (ashtray?). It is an imprint of a program from a presentation of La Boheme performed at Metro Dal Verme on October 21, 1897. It says Musica del Maestro Giacomo Puccini and Maestro Concertatore e Direttore Arturo Toscanini. It is marked on the back with a summary of La Boheme's successes and a hand holding a pen with the words Formacetti-Milano made in Italy with a number 8 beneath it. I have had this dish for 25 years and the previous owner for at least twenty five more. I do not know anything about its origin or value. Anyone out there know? Thanks, Nancy

Hi all,
I have a teapot made of silver with a date stamp of 1736. It doesn't look like it is in the best of condition, but it really gleams on the table. It has a makers stamp of 'EAF' with the E being back to front and joined on to the A and the F also joined onto the A. The 5 silver marks are dificult to work out but one of them has what looks like a otter or badger or some such animal. I am at a loss to work out where it is from and how much it is worth. If anyone could help me, then e-mail me at garysmith538@btinternet.com Thank you.

Hey everyone!
I am an over-the-top antiques collector over here in Riverside, CA and I just wanted to ask if anyone knows anything about Today's Vintage Magazine? I believe its fairly new but it is absolutely incredible! It has so much information for antique collectors of all types as well as a variety of antique show information. Has anyone else seen this thing?? I would love to find out more about it.

Thanks all,
Allison T.
