Rick Wesselman
This is intended to provide you with a brief introduction to our firm and some of the services we provide, especially our philosophy on preserving the environment and our ongoing effort for sustainable and LEED Design.
We differentiate ourselves from a specialized golf practice with our ability to design and/or remodel golf courses and provide comprehensive land planning and land planning to our clients. We offer a full set of skills that draw from our vast experience in new golf course design, renovation, master planning, and clubhouse landscape architecture, which we feel better suits the needs of our clients. We are a design firm that prides ourselves on the protecting the environment and creating sustainable designs.
Our approach is to follow a project form vision to realization. We begin projects by studying the properties limitations and potential and then match those qualities both to the course¢ï¿½ï¿½s strategy and our client¢ï¿½ï¿½s needs. We engage our clients and discuss alternatives at every phase.
Rather than assuming you are hiring an individual with a certain level of experience, in reality you are hiring an entire firm with a wealth of knowledge, resources, and an impeccable track record. Every project that we have been associated with Design Workshop Golf has been influenced by others within the firm. Our process engages people with significant breadth and depth of experiences. So, not only are you having golf course designers looking at the plan, but also land planners, landscape architects and strategic services which are all here in-house. As well, we use the latest technology to share information and elevate our design and planning process.
Every golf project is envisioned and executed by our team of specialized golf architects, with the support of the entire firm. Design Workshop¢ï¿½ï¿½s golf course architects have over 35 years of experience and have worked on over 100 projects in areas of golf design, remodel/renovation, land planning, construction, maintenance, landscape architecture and project management. Several of our projects have garnered industry awards and are ranked among the top courses in the country. When designing new golf courses, renovating or re-modeling existing courses, it is an art form and we are successful in combining this art with masterful knowledge of technical applications. From the beginning, Design Workshop has sought to create golf courses and landscapes that contextually ¢ï¿½ï¿½fit¢ï¿½ï¿½. Our mission statement is to design golf courses of extraordinary quality that create a legacy for future generations.
Finally, Design Workshop has developed close relationships with several PGA professionals. If it is important to the viability of a project to have the added expertise and advice of a PGA professional associated with the project, we are poised to identify the proper match and add their services. We are currently working on projects with Phil Mickelson, Hale Irwin and Jesper Parnevik.
As I mentioned above, Design Workshop Golf Design is a team of highly-focused individuals who strive for high-quality legacy outcomes ¢ï¿½ï¿½ projects you can be proud to say you helped create.
Again, thank you for the opportunity to present our work and introduce ourselves. Please take a minute to look at our firm's qualifications on the web at DesignWorkshop.com which not only include Golf and Resorts Design but also Land Planning, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design as well.
