There are known risk factors for autism and my blog is a place where I collect studies from the past and new studies that describe them. Non-familial autism can be prevented through fathering babies in ones mid 20s to 31-32. The is a very important male biological clock and we all need to learn what it is. Cryobanking of sperm in ones mid 20s to 30 is far better than stem cell research to prevent genetic disorder in our descendants. A family history of autoimmune disorders can be you at risk for having an autistic child. Also any family history of schizophrenia or autism spectrum.

KarmaKeep up the good work. I look forward to your updates.
StephIt's very interesting.. the theory that the age of the father has something to do with a child having Autism. I'm not sure I buy it (my husband was in his late 20's when our son was conceived), but definitely agree with the role of autoimmune disorders. My family has a great deal of them. Also, I think families with a history of Autism, gives a greater potential to other children developing it (or being at higher risk). That seems to be a factor in our son's case.
