Autism Sucks

http://autismsucksrocks.blogspot.com

This blog has multiple authors, all about autism and how much it sucks. Mostly, it was inspired by a friend who was feeling alone. I know there are a lot of us out there, so let's band together and support one another.

My vision for this blog is to have anyone who wants to write about how it is to live with autism. Just email me (link located in sidebar of blog) and I will add you

Today, we just hit All-Top! Come see!

You don't mention your age, Matthew, and I am not sure you will get this. Still, I wanted to point out that not all the statistics are grim. I am also married to a man with Asperger's, and he does fine. He is a successful computer software engineer, and we have been married almost 20 years. We have three children. Yes, two have autism, but we are very happy.

You can be, too.

Wow...

You people make me cry a thousand times over. The constant statistics, the negative comments, every one I read makes me shed a tear because I can clearly see my reflection in almost every single one.
"1 in 20 people with autism gains complete independence" I will not become one of those statistics... even though it causes me to cry to even think about it because I know despite my best efforts illuminate the ever-engulfing darkness that is autism-incarnate everyday I feel myself take two steps forward, and every night two steps back... going back and forth in between nothingness.. attempting to survive with no-perceived support.. Every thought I have in relation to having a friend causes an ache-like sensation deep inside of my gut, followed by involuntary muscle-spasms around my nostrils which cause me to clench my teeth in an often miserable attempt to quell the negative feelings, which usually result in a precursor to a round of lonesome tears.
