Nice start - don't stop.
Great advice! I'd also like to add to your blog about not neglecting advertising during hard times. Our company is preparing to open a retail store and in the process has found that we are in a position (because of the recession) to bargain for a better price on almost everything we need for the store, including advertising.
We have taken the approach that rather than running away in fear, we will embrace the economic situation as an opportunity to expand our plans. It's the old "when life hands you lemons, make lemonade" approach to life.
also, if you have lost your job, look at it as a golden opportunity to either get a better one (since there are still millions of job openings out there and hundreds of companies hiring) or as the perfect time to open and inexpensively advertise a new business.
