How the Grinch Will Steal the Election
Lately there has been a lot of left wing negativity directed at My Hero: John McCain. You guys are just mean and nasty! John McCain is a true patriot and deserves your deepest respect. Look at the facts: When he was rotting in a Hanoi prison, he sacrificed and let his fellow prisoners leave before him.
Now lately he has done some rather strange things and there are those people among us who are rushing to judge him � quite unfairly � in my estimation.
Let us be more generous in our praise of John McCain.
Let us look more closely at this brilliant man (yes, we can even forget that D average he got at military college).
More significantly, we can simply consider the facts:
John McCain tried to run in 2000 but was trashed by the Bush/Rove smear machine. He was then forced to endorse George Bush for president. Later, he tried to push the Republican Party in new directions. They derided him. They called him a maverick. When he started his next run for the presidency in 2007, the Party sneered at him and he had to come crawling to get their support. One can only imagine the humiliation, the torment, and the psychological wounds that he had to endure.
But is he sinking so low? Perhaps he has a PLAN - a patriotic and Grinch-like wonderful awful idea!
THE PLAN: PRETEND TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT BUT MAKE SURE YOU LOSE!
Step 1: Pretend to be a good Republican and support the occupation of Iraq by playing along with Bush, Condi, and Rumsfeld (The Liar, The Witch and The WarDope). Then later:
Step 2: Suck up to the right-wing religious nutters.
Step 3: Avoid a solid platform with intelligent ideas.
Step 4: Go negative and attack your opponent with strategies directly from the Rove play-book.
Step 5: Pick Sarah Palin as a running mate. (I rest my case).
There we have it. A crafty plan that should guarantee an Obama win! Just like in Hanoi, he has an undying love for his fellow citizens. He lets the more deserving man go first.
Hidden agenda: John McCain gets his revenge on the Republican Party and the USA gets a President who can actually bring it to the greatness to which it aspires.
SO: John McCain IS A TRUE PATRIOT.
