Carl Vine's 40th Parallel Universe

Strange events are not so strange, where the 83rd meridian intersects with the 40th parallel. Here, Raccoon Creek widens for a time into Beeman’s Bog, and visitors regularly witness a light that flickers low in the night sky over the bog—what has become known locally as Aurora Ohioensis. These electromagnetic waves are thought to be behind many of the perversities that permeate the lives of those living in Monroe Township and, to a lesser degree, Licking County. Documenting these odd events, and occasionally providing commentary on similar events from around the world, Carl Vine has made an imaginary career of this pursuit.
