I'm a young, professional Australian female learning to live and love. This blog is about psychology, mental health, politics, satire, silliness, complexity, poetry, women's issues, current events, self-esteem, spirituality and determination. I'm also a singer, editor, writer/lyricist, photographer, dreamer with a love of life despite its challenges or perhaps because of them.
I share my insights about living with depression (like my Father, and his Father before him and his Father before him… you get the idea) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Note, I say I live with these illnesses rather than suffer from them. Don’t get me wrong, they’re hardly pleasant but live with them I must.
I'm a fan of synchronicity and I aim to be all about confounding expectations.
Recent PostsWoke up this morning feeling like I’d spent the past several days drinking absinthe with Aleister Crowley and followed it up with enough Acid to trip-out a troop of hardy circus clowns. Am having issues with the world. Would boycott but seems u...

SharonFrom what you write, I can tell you write from the heart. This is just brilliant and well done. Keep up the good work, you have great talent. May you be blessed!
SvastiGreat to hear another female voice out there from Australia writing on the topic of depression. I enjoy the freshness of your turn of phrase and I plan to keep tabs on your future posts. :)
GeoffreyInsightful, beautiful, intelligent, well-written, cogent and engaging! CK's conscious struggle with emotional difficulty is inspiring as it is courageous. I admire and respect her for that. AND it's an extremely good read!
The Village Not IdiotA clever view of life and its changes. Well worth reading and return visits!!
P. HodakHey, thanks for leaving the positive message on my profile. Your blog is also good, very insightful in dealing with your struggles. I actually work in a mental health profession so I know what you're dealing with, I just don't talk about it on my blogs because I'm fond of seperating work and fun. Keep up the good work, I see you get a lot of traffic and comments already.
DocA completely honest, open, and disarming look at depression, stigma, and life in general. It is well written and down to Earth at the same time. I liked it!
Edilberto Gonzalez TrejosAmbitious: sensible + sensitive.
Artistic and educational, highly recommended!
SarahAn honestly raw site that opens you up to what's in her mind. Beautifully delivered. A site to come back to.
Tim MarshallIt isn't often I find a blog that treats life with such intelligence and genuine feeling. I actually feel priviledged to have been here and will be returning asap
ShivInsightful and very intelligent blog that succeeds at being far far more than your average "depressed person" blog. Catatonickid has a skill with words, and a mind sharp enough to really see what's happening around and inside us. I will be following this blog regularly, i recommend you do the same!
