Hi alvin, you are welcomed to browse my blog. I know the inter-terrace houses but can't remember exactly what they were before. Along the same side of the road before Everitt
Road were a few attap huts. One was built on stilts with wooden steps in front of the house. That part of the land together with Lorong Langsat witch is behind your house were low lying and subject to flood on wet days.

If you want to know more, I suggest we make a appointment either at your house or at a nearby coffee shop in Joo Chiat Road. I am usually free on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Dear Philip,
Thank you for sharing, and the efforts in putting up the blog. It is very insightful and valuable to everyone.

I have been staying at 69 Joo Chiat Terrace for about a year. The inter-terrace is part of 5 house, where no. 63 and 65 is now a Buddhist Research Centre. 67 is still owned by the original owner (from China, Singaporean wife) who has a provision shop across the street. 71 was purchased by a new owner 2 years ago.

I would be grateful if you can share any other information about the house and the street that I live in. It would also be my pleasure to invite you over to the house for tea for a chat, if you are free.

Warmest regards,
alvin
