I would like to see all of the Veterans refuse to elect any Republicans to either the U.S. House or the Senate, unless they promise (as in the Contract with America) to significantly improve the situation for Bets.
Increase the funds for medical care; increase the level of disability payments for service connected disabilities; grant exchange and commissary privleges to those rated at 50% service connected disabled or higher; increase VA mileage reimbursement to the IRS level, with NO DEDUCTIONS.
They love to send us off to war, but they have refused to even keep the VA even with inflation. They fund "bridges to nowhere" and "railroad museums", but they refused to adequately fund medical care for the guys coming back from Iraq.
I say, lets all contact them, tell them we won't vote for them unless they help the vets out, and then follow through.
If even 10% of the vets refused to vote for the Republican candidates, we could easily swing a number of elections.
It's about time we all stood up for each other, and make those political bastards keep the promises they have been making since World War I!

As always I have said not to vote for Republican and our veterans should do the same. Democrats care for you...
