Hi Jack :)

This site is called "Con Man's Blog". Upon opening this site I was confronted by a post called, "Con Men Specialty: How to Become a Dumpster Diver--Make a Fortune". It read like an instruction manual teaching would be Dumpster Divers the tricks of the trade when it comes to fishing your private data out of the garbage. But wait, before you get all angry and storm off to post a nasty comment, you must realize that the lesson was for you. Your private data shouldn't be in the garbage in the first place. The most this rube should get is a good helping of dirty diapers and a half eaten dog biscuit. Part of protecting yourself from being conned is understanding what makes them tick and the types of weaknesses they look for. This author brilliantly delivers this knowledge to you using informative yet entertaining posts. The site is simple and wonderfully free from all the AD BLING that some sites are so full of. The whole family especially young adults should visit this site regularly and learn how to defend themselves from people that would take advantage of good people. All in all a great read and a must visit.

Because of all the lazy, mish mash type blogs out there, this one sticks out like a sore thumb. I've come across a helluva lot of blogs and most can't be called poignant, original, particularly useful or even well written. I'd call this one all four. The subjects are serious but the writing is certainly not without humor and maintains a pleasantly distinctive style. It's definitely a good one to keep up with.

I don't know how I missed your blog before here, but there are thousands of blogs at BC.
Yours is well written, and the information valuable. I am not sure how BC does the rating thing but I would have guessed yours would have been in the 80's
Nice work, now I will have to get your book.

I am floored by your profile, writing and work. Your blog posts are really funny and informative as well... You know what your content is so beautiful and readable... but the design and look of your blog is rather straight and simple.. I am sure if you jazz it up a little bit, your blog would look much better... Frankly for the quality of content out there.. it should look better...

This blog is a great source of interesting stories and facts related to world-class con jobs. To quote right from the blog's description: "This Blog keeps you up-to-date on what, in everyday business, is going on all around you--exposing the con man's schemes: to bewilder, confuse, and rob you of your identity, your savings, even your inheritance."

Great blog!!I will check it often.
Last summer I received a check in the mail for 32,567.26. It was drawn on a real bank and when the bank was called the bank said that the check was real.Thank heavens for my suspicious nature. The catch was that 10% had to be mailed in from the money deposited.
Had I done this, they would have had my money and the check which was a good fraud would have left me in a mess. I gave it to a bank examiner.
Thanks Jack for your efforts!!! The stuff we suspect we can check with you.

I am absolutely addicted to Con Man's Blog.
I am also (not necessarily in any order) ADDICTED to:
cheese, oxygen, offbeat news, raccoon scat, the internet, chocolate, BlogCatalog, women, dog food, blogging, sniffing my socks, horror movies, licking inanimate objects in public, technology, carnivals, pie, midget tossing, putting things in my nose, art, alcohol, music, bike riding monkeys, research studies involving experimental drugs, electrocuting my own nipples, but mostly to Con Man's Blog.
Did I mention Con Man's Blog? Yes, I think I did.

Excellent marketing strategy--your blog and con man's website. Thank you for planting new ideas in my head. I hope to also connect my blog to a book I have written and plan to publish soon entitled WRITING FEARLESSLY. Although the book targets developmental college students, I hope to attract a wider audience with its universal message that advocates courage and passion for life. Best wishes on your new book. Every comment made from the other 'bloggers' I totally agree with. Your writings are a must read. Children should be made read your book at school so they are ready for some of the scam artists out there. I have been a victim so many times I should read your books from cover to cover so I don't get scammed again! (I'm too trusting, I've been told.)
I've just submitted your blog to Digg...under 'Educational.'
Everyone should be directed to you.

Great info and very much needed. People are swimming with sharks and don't even know it.
David Packman Said:
I'd say this is one of the best blogs out there, simply because a lot of the information delivered has applications well beyond the scope of the intended subject matter.
Scams and confidence artistry games extend beyond get rich schemes, these same techniques and scam-language methodology are applied to many different types of sociopathic activities, from the social engineering techniques used for spreading computer viruses to spam and even by that overly-ambitious coworker in your office.
A lot of great advice here, definitely worth the time to read.

Reading this is like having a cyber-space father figure, who provides good information and advice. It's nice to know someone has the smarts to keep the rest of us informed.
I read a wonderful article in GLAMOUR magazine about a 5'2" woman who tracked down and caught the woman stealing her identity. The December 2007 issue, and a very interesting read.
Mr. Payne, Your posts are right in line with this story and they help us be more aware of scam artists and identity theives. Thank you very much.
