Consuming The Harvest
http://www.consumingtheharvest.me.uk
It's a blog about all things foodie, mainly because I LOVE FOOD! I enjoy reading about it, watching TV shows about it, shopping (for the most part) for it, wading through page upon page of recipes for it, learning about where it comes from and in the case of meats - how it has lived, and how it arrives at my place of purchase, the preparation of it, cooking/baking/frying/grilling/roasting/sauteing etc...etc...etc of it, and the very best bit - eating it. It is as entwined in my life as breathing and therefore plays a huge role.
But, as I've said before, there is more to life than food. That is what the rest of the posts included in this blog will be about. Nothing flashy, nothing too noteworthy, probably nothing very exciting or inspiring. Just life as I live and see it, sometimes with my odd sense of humour, here in Norfolk (UK) and on our lovely North Sea coast.

What\'s Cookin\'?
Chilli! My "recipe" is HERE, although it's honestly more of a non-recipe dish for me with parts that always stay the same and those that I switch about or tweak from one creation to the next. I've used homemade/homegrown tomato sauce in t...
Decadent Peanut Butter Layer Cake
This is definitely not one for anyone watching their caloric intake!! Next time I'm thinking of adding a dribbling of chocolate in the centre and drizzling a bit of caramel over the top before scattering the peanuts..... ;-) PEANUT BUTTE...
The Weekly Menu Plan 29 Nov - 5 Dec
This menu has been worked, re-worked then worked again. I had it set in stone when BH came home mid week to say that there was a detecting rally Sunday, complaining about not receiving much notice. I took that to mean he was going. I had ...

Here is the recipe promised from yesterday - photo on yesterday's post. It's one of Mary Berry's (Mary Berry's Baking Bible), quick and simple, delicious to boot! Mary Berry's Coffee and Walnut Traybake Ingredients CAKE 225g softened butter 225...
