Great information Kim. It's pretty similar in Australia as well.
What a lot of people don't realize is the process of applying for credit in Australia is logged onto your credit rating whether or not you actually take it up or not. Some lenders here will not lend to someone who has applied for credit over a certain number of times in a certain time frame.
