Dear Humanitarian Supporter,

This letter is to tell you today about a very important worthwhile project, at I am writing to request your support. The next 2 years, I will travel to Mozambique, India, Sweden, and the United Kingdom as a United Planet Quest Volunteer to work as an Environmentalist and promote Women’s Empowerment. My plan is to keep you informed on my website, www. and write articles about my journey.

United Planet (UP) is an international educational and peace-building NGO based in Boston. Its mission is to foster cross-cultural understanding and friendship while addressing shared challenges to unite the world in a community beyond borders. For its humanitarian work, CNN recently selected United Planet as one of ten organizations worldwide to be highlighted on their Be the Change website.

In addition to its educational programs, United Planet recognizes the importance of real life exposure to other cultures through actual in-country experiences. I think you will agree that one of the most valuable ways to build cross-cultural friendships is through reaching out, working together, and helping one another. This is why United Planet provides opportunities for people of all ages and nationalities to volunteer abroad from 1-52 weeks in 50 different countries to learn about another culture while helping people build a better life for themselves.

Beyond making a real difference working in partnership with an international community, I will have the opportunity to expand my global perspective and cross-cultural understanding, develop team-building and leadership skills, acquire a new language, and make new friends for myself and for my country.

United Planet is a recognized nonprofit organization whose programs are supported solely through charitable donations. Each volunteer is asked to cover their own travel and living expenses. I am requesting your support as I work to raise the funds necessary for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
