Dazzling Wings

http://DazzlingWings.blogspot.com

A compassionate site written by a former abuse victim to encourage women and men who are recovering from abuse (child abuse, incest, spousal abuse, sexual abuse, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, or religious abuse). The author views religious faith as integral to each persons experience of abuse and recovery from abuse. As a Christian, the author shares her hope and encourages others to seek help from Jesus Christ in the journey from abuse to thriving, from bondage to freedom, and from numbness to abundance.

When you're ankle deep in the junk of abuse, you don't feel like rejoicing. Looking at the evil things in this life is painful. It can feel awful if someone who doesn't understand gives you a cheer up, it's not so bad type of talk. Sometimes it feels...

Thank you, Christine, for commenting on my blog.

It is amazing how many lies help trap abuse victims. As men and women seek God for truth, abusers lose their power to trick victims. You hit the mark when you wrote:
"Abuse is not of God. It's of the devil and evil."

God is love. Abuse is not love, it is sin that is full of deception, violation, and selfishness.

God bless your blogging,

GREAT SITE!!!

Especially loved today's post:

"How many times have sincere people crucified Christian victims of abuse by telling them that abuse must be “their cross” to bear? Far too many times.

It is a gross misrepresentation of scripture to tell others that abuse is a cross to heroically bear to prove their love to Christ."

Abuse is not of God. It's of the devil and evil.

Far too often people say, "it's our cross to bear." No, it's not! It's words like that that are the devil's deception.

Thanks for making others aware!

Blessings,
Christine Bean
