Hi, I am just starting the process. My wife moved out 4 months ago and left the children with me. They go to school in this county and are happy with their situation. Their mother will come and get them every other Saturday evening thru Sunday evening. During the summer she also would get them on her Wednesday off. I have always given her access to them and have been willing to work with her provided her request were reasonable and allowed time for planning on my end. I am ready to file for the divorce in FL. I want primary custody and the ability to move out of state with the children. The soon to be X has no idea of my ultimate plan to move, there are too many details unresolved yet to let the info out. My question is...What must a father do to accomplish all this legally. I have no desire to keep the kids from her, I just have a better opportunity for a fresh start in another place. Since she moved out and has paid no support, does that constitute abandondment? I'm not looking to play dirty but will if required...Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks....G
