Don't Hear I Shout You! A Chronic Pain Blog
http://obtuselyoblique1.wordpress.com/
How I proved the doctor wrong! In 1986, after a botched & infected spinal (lumbar)fusion the surgeon told I'd live in a wheelchair for life and better just accept that fact.Well, even as the pain spread and worsened with each passing year,I went on to live a full and productive -- even happy -- life with the chronic pain. The focus is on the personal inner processes of living 24/7 in pain;as one who was once a Catholic monk and also lived in Asia for 10 years, all of these have combined to help me break a downward negative loop and learn to live-- and enjoy -- life while in constant ragin pain. What I get out of it is the therapy of writing and sharing, and hopefully others in chronic pain (or living with someone in CP)find something helpful to their situation.

From time to time I may need to say something technical about the working of this site. This is where this would happen. (For example, how I had to move from my own IP and server when the site was mistakenly tagged as a bad guy)....
What’s in a name?
I got a message asking how I came up with my pseudonym, Obtusely Oblique. Well, if you’ve read some of my posts, it should be obvious, but I may as well explain: As a person with a philosophical bent, and a history as a monk, where scholarship ...
