The term Broken Mirror was borrowed from the song Small Two of Pieces. The chorus of the lyrics begins as such :

Broken mirror, a million shades of light

Serge chose Broken Mirror as it symbolizes the fact that this writer is ever broken and that his life keeps on reflecting. With each broken mirror the light of his life reflects back and forth in an infinite manner. With this reflection, it shows that there are many sides to Serge such as the writer, Leo the one who loves and Dustyhawk the guy who hates. It reveals the split personality of sorts.
