I enjoyed reading your posts. Please forgive me that I do not yet speak enough Spanish to appreciate your works in your native tongue. It is a shame, because I can imagine that your words must really sing and dance when written in Spanish. I also imagine the time and effort it must take for you to make sure your works are translated into English for those of us who speak it. I would not have been able to read them at all had you not. So, many thanks to you for that.
I'm hoping that through your transalation work, you are learning more about my language, and that you are having a chance to SPEAK it as well as to write it; a chance to learn its rythm, cadence, and flow. I believe that with any form of writing, words should have a voice and be able to speak, or a fragrance you can smell, or a passion you can feel. But to give them that, you must be able to SPEAK the language they are written in, as well as write it. I think your translation is not yet giving your work the voice, fragrance, and passion that asks for. There are no "at's", "for's", "by's", "with's", "to's" ... those little words in English that link and direct our thoughts. There is no rhythm or cadence. Your translated words are good words, but they do not dance across the page. So it makes it difficult to follow ... just as reading these words of mine once they have been translated into Spanish must be for you ... and just as difficult as it would be for you to read MY blog translated into Spanish.
Please, do keep up the good work. I look forward to stopping by your blog again.
