Pizza: My Food for Depression

I love Pizza and there is no doubt about it. I love it because of three main reasons:
1. It is a complete meal as it contains all the goodies you can think off.
2. It is so easy to make: simply get a ready made dough from the grocery, your favorite tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, your favorite toppings and extra cheese to your liking plus hot sauce if you desire and of course bake in oven at 250 degrees to 350 until cooked to perfection usually about 10 to 30 minutes depending on the thickness and ingredients used (the thinner the shorter the cooking time the thicker the longer - ingredients the fresher the longer the more pre cooked the shorter.)
3. And of course the happy feeling I get with the satisfaction of eating it all by myself especially when one is feeling so down and depressed and it is simply raining cats and dogs outside.

Sunday Reflection: The Hunger Site - feed the hungry with just a click of the mouse

Have you ever felt that painful stab in your gut when you have worked yourself silly and missed out on a meal. That feeling we all have come to know as hunger. The privilege to eat when we want to eat and to drink when we want to drink is something we have over looked and disregarded. In a starving child's eyes somewhere in the dirt streets of Africa and Asia, maybe even in your own backyard that is a luxury they are can never afford.

Millions of people suffer in poverty and hunger, and millions of them are in the brink of death due to starvation and lack of things that we tend to ignore cause we have it so abundantly. We constantly surf the net and click on things that would make us happy and fulfilled and probably something to show off to our family and friends while many wallow in the mud and trash in search of food and a place they can rest their weary heads even for just awhile.

We scour the net in search of financial gain because we believe we can never have enough cause nothing is ever enough for those that have a lot, However in the dark alleys that we all avoid these people suffer in silence.

The question now is are we brave enough, strong enough, and adamant enough to face the fact that this is something we all have to deal with? Cause it wont be long before the needs of the poor will eventually become yours for in the end we are all connected. All that we choose to ignore won't be hidden anymore, it wont be long before it hits our country, our people and our lives. It could already be there. It could be a friend and even your own family. Would you be willing to wait or will you take action now before it's too late?

It really doesn't take much surprisingly... All it takes is a simple visit and a click. If everyone in the entire world who could afford to give just a moment of their time, a minute to be exact, a dollar maybe even a dime, billions of people will be saved from hunger, poverty and death. If that isn't enough feel the feeling of being a HERO in their lives as you save them from all these. All it takes is just one simple visit to The Hunger Site and click to give free food. Doesn't that make you feel good about yourself? It definitely does for people that haven't eaten for a week, maybe even a month. Think about it.

David Archuleta is still on the Roll: New Single - Crush

With the new single released just a couple of months after loosing the American Idol Contest to another David (David Cook), this young prodigy has already begun shaking the airwaves with is new single Crush. It's tune is catchy and vibrant and a definite easy listen. Many now are actually wondering if America voted on the wrong idol but who knows, maybe David Cook has a something just around the corner to surprise us when we least expect it and yet again maybe not but one thing is for sure. All eyes will definitely be looking out for these two Davids and so will Empty Streets. So for all those that voted for David Archuleta I do hope you enjoy this Video of him Singing his heart out. Blog Application that wont slow your site down

There are a lot of widgets and applications out there in the market but none can compare to the fun interactive widgets that wont slow your site down and more importantly add spice to your site and make it look pretty.

You probably have noticed it the first time you opened my page. That flash of featured articles and on the side an animated recent article list and a fully animated tag cloud that links up to articles without having the reader leave the page to see what is to see allowing them freedom to choose if that is truly what they want to read or not. And of course my soon to be highly useful suggestion box that allows the readers to suggest an article to write about to help fight that writer's block that creeps up unsuspectingly every so often.

Wowzio provides that pretty slide show you see and the sidebar plugins that are dependent on your rss feed.

Skribit.com is responsible for the suggestion box.

All these applications are so easy to use and better yet absolutely free. On a personal note as you have read earlier it also doesn't slow your site down in anyway. Which is something I desperately need since my site is over 200k in size just on this page alone so hopefully as I go along and learn how to further streamline Empty Streets for your viewing pleasure be guaranteed that I will be posting it here.

It has been a long time but I just have to share this to all my readers the one song that in more ways than one has saved me and made me think about where I am going with my life. The Visuals the background and the song of just surrendering to your Maker to take control of a life that we have always thought would be in our control but in reality can be chaotic at times when we thought we could make it on our own.

I shed a lot of tears back then when I saw this video because I had gone through a lot of personal pain but who doesn't and after seeing this again I still shed tears but this time of gratefulness for all the blessings that have come my way. It is somewhat of a miracle and an answered prayer to be where I am right now in my life and being able to do the things that I am doing now but it goes to show that somehow Someone is watching over us even at times when we feel most alone.

Entrecard no longer for sale: But Be Aware of Added Rules :)

Entrecard is no longer for sale which is good news for all of us Yayyy! but take note of the additional rules below and please read carefully as you may be violating the terms of agreement and wouldnt want to risk another deletion sigh hehehe.

In order to continue operating in the long-term, Entrecard needs make some significant changes. These are summarized below:

Buy credits for less: Entrecard is now selling 1,000 credits for $6.00.
More pricing increments: Instead of prices doubling every time, there are now a few more steps. The new price points can be found on the Advertising page in the wiki.
Members are not allowed to sell credits: This goes for ebay sales, posts in the Marketing forum, and posts on other forums. If you have references on your site to the sale of credits, please remove them immediately, as it is now against our terms.
Credit transfer limits: Members are allowed to make a maximum of 14 credit transfers a week, up to a maximum of 1,000 credits, whichever comes first. This means you can still run contests where you give credits away for free, and under 1k per week. Note: This does not affect linked blogs, you can transfer unlimited credits between linked blogs.
Transfer tax: From now on, all transfers, including transfers made with our new payments API, will be taxed at a rate of 12.5%. The taxed credits will be sold to members (see #1).
Blogs cannot be unlinked: Once you link a blog, it’s there for good unless you ask us to delete the blog from your account. This prevents linking/unlinking to get around the credit transfer limits, and it also stops you losing access to a blog if you unlink it in error, which happens a lot.
No more coupons: You are no longer allowed to send coupons.
Shop closed: Except for Entrecard upgrades (Featured Status, Fast Pass) the Entrecard Shop is now offline until further notice. Please do not request a seller token until the shop returns. When it comes back, it will be bigger and better. We’ll communicate more details nearer the time.

One thing at a time. We do hope to soon be able to provide selling EC from the dashboard, in a real supply and demand market, but we need to move towards it with a sustainable model first. This is the first step.
Please understand that our long term goals are a healthy economy with a middle class. That means we want you actually making money off your credits. but, at the same time, we need to figure out effective ways to thwart the credit farmers out there.

Naturally, this should help with the splog/credit farm problem, because there is no longer a financial incentive to farm credits. once we roll out the free market exchange for credits, that incentive will be there again, and we need to figure creative ways to curb credit farmers and gamers. it is our long term goal, but we need to do it right.

as for daily drops, we may lower it, we may keep it the same. I’m in favor of lowering it but I need more input from people.
EntreBlast - So Graham, how can one achieve this ‘elevated status’? I just finished off a 37,000 EC contest and I’m planning to do another one, and more after that as long as I’m here.
Graham Says:
We’re working towards a method of sanctioning contests and will update everyone on the blog once its ready.
It will involve some sort of inspection, to see where your credits came from, some sort of planning so we know the exact day you’re giving them away, some sort of accountability -that you’ve been active in the community and we know who you are vs. someone who just shows up today with a million credits suspiciously and wants to hold a “contest”

So once we have some firm ground rules in place, the huge contests can continue because we do not want to see the contest culture of Entrecard die!

We'll update this continually once more input and data has been obtained but for now hope this helps a lot of us with similar questions as to where is Entrecard going with all this and the question of those with huge contests.

The Next Avengers

I had stumbled upon a video that brought back so many childhood memories for me. Yes as a kid I loved to read comics of all kinds and of course the Avengers were a huge part of my Marvel Collection. I would dream of times of being a hero and saving the day. I would dream of being a kid wonder hehehe but those days have long passed but never forgotten especially now there is a new breed of super heroes right here and like a kid again I cant wait to get hold of a copy of this series on DVD. So for your viewing pleasure especially if your a Marvel fan this trailer is definitely eye candy.
