Ugh for this morning to be such a great morning, the afternoon totally sucks. I was killing some time waiting on Hubby to get home playing Monopoly with Lisa and her hubby when I got hit with this horrible headache. I finished my game and laid down with a pillow over my head waiting for Hubby to get home so I could send him to the store for some headache powders.

I had him stock up on the big box this time so I won’t have to wait for him to get home. I took a headache powder, drank some Dr. Pepper, and my headache was gone in about 20 minutes. As soon as the headache went away I developed a massive case of the hiccups, the painful kind, that I just can’t get rid of. I’ve tried everything, but I’ve been hiccuping non-stop for about 45 minutes. I’ve even sneezed a couple of times, and that didn’t stop my hiccups.

For some reason when my allergies flair I tend to get hiccups a lot. Normally they’ll come and go throughout the day, but I’ve never had them be this violent for this long. I literally feel like my heart is leaping through my throat, and it’s painful.

Anywho, it’s about time to head off to do something else. I want to look up some travel medical insurance for my dad. He’s going on a trip to Mexico in January, and since he’s never been out of the country he doesn’t know what kind of travel stuff he needs to worry about.

Me, girl who hates to clean, just realized how good it feels to have my house clean before 7 am. I’ve been on a roll all weekend, and it looks like it’s carried over to Monday morning. Ok it’s not completely clean. I still have to do dishes and laundry, but the laundry will just have to pile up until I make it to the store to pick up detergent.

I know I was supposed to do that yesterday, but I was so worn out I took a nap instead. When I woke up neither of us felt like doing much more than eating dinner and watching movies before we both fell asleep again really early. I woke up at 5am bored out of my mind, so I sat here surfing, reading diet pill reviews, and playing games until I had enough coffee in my system to actually accomplish something.

Now I think I have too much coffee in me. I’ve got all this energy to burn! I mopped the kitchen and dining room, gave myself a wicked blood blister on the palm of my hand thanks to my stupid mop’s plastic sleeve not wanting to slide, and then I took the dog out for a jog. Yes, I actually jogged for about 30 minutes. It’s so not like me! I swear fall has done something to me, but so far I’m liking it!

Now I’m going to knock out some work, and if the coffee hasn’t completely worn off I might just wash down the walls in the dining room while I’ve got everything emptied out. I know I should have done that before I mopped, but let me be. At least I’m even contemplating it! I haven’t washed walls in the entire 5 years I’ve lived here!

Oh, and Verizon just let me make a payment online without running me in circles, timing out on me, or making me call support. Hath hell frozen over?

Good morning everyone! Man is it cold here this morning. Hubby and I are supposed to meet some friends this afternoon for a bike ride up the mountain, but the wind has been blowing so hard today I don’t know if we’ll be able to. I know if the wind is gusting at 15-25mph here, it’s definitely worse up on the mountain. Even an experienced rider can have trouble if they get hit by a big wind gust they aren’t expecting, so sometimes it’s just better to stay home.

Hubby and I also have a list of stuff to do today. I’m going to start by paying my online car insurance before our policy gets canceled. I don’t receive a paper bill anymore, and that’s really throwing me off. Thank goodness I looked at the calendar this morning, or I’d have really screwed up.

We’ve got to rearrange the bedroom because my MIL gave me a really nice desk I want to put in there. We watch so many movies online I want to put the entertainment pc in the bedroom so we can lay in bed watching movies if we want. It’ll also allow us to have computers in two rooms so if one of us needs a little peace and quiet to work, the other can still get on the computer without being a distraction.

Then we’ve got to go to the in law’s house to pick up said desk along with a really nice rug she gave me. This is stuff that belonged to Hubby’s Grandma, and my MIL is finally getting a chance to go through the massive storage building unit we had to rent for her when we moved her here. You wouldn’t believe how much stuff she had, and even though we thinned it out drastically when we moved her, and again before she passed away, there’s still so much stuff that hasn’t been touched.

I also promised my MIL I’d show her how to use Ebay because she’s got a ton of stuff she wants to list, but I don’t think I’ll get around to that today. We’ve also discussed using Craig’s List, and I signed her up for the local Free Cycle group because I know she’s got a ton of stuff she wants to give away. Slowly but surely we’ll get everything cleaned out of the storage unit so that will be one less bill that has to be paid this month.

Now I’m off to the grocery store so I can pick up some much needed cleaning supplies. The kitchen is also getting a good scrub down today. Is it just me, or do a lot of you feel the need to do a big cleaning/overhaul when fall rolls around? Funny how my horoscope this morning (that I normally read to laugh at) said Scorpios are feeling the need to do some cleaning in their lives although it meant cleaning out the people we don’t need, not our homes.

I’m spending the afternoon at my in-laws today so I can get some must do right now work done. Charter is still being gay, and my internet has been out all day long. Unfortunately I’ve got some data entry work that has to be done by this afternoon. I packed up, headed 30 minutes to the in-laws, and bribed the little sis-in-law into letting me use her computer until I’m done by letting her borrow a few PS2 games. If only kids were always that easy to please!

Hubby’s entertaining himself by cutting his parent’s grass for them. He says he wanted to try out his dad’s new lawn mower, but I know the truth is he’s just got this thing about cutting grass. He used to rush home from work to try to cut our grass before my Grandpa would do it. Of course my Grandpa seemed to have this radar that would tell him exactly what day Hubby planned to cut it, and he’d do it early that morning right after Hubby left for work. Hubby finally gave up and sold our lawn mower to his parents.

At least he’s doing something productive instead of sleeping in the fluffy recliner watching infomercials about stuff like Ladybug steam cleaners. As soon as he’s done I’m going to convince him to go pick up lunch for all of us. I’m starving and we skipped out on our usual Friday night BBQ. Some pulled pork with apple bbq sauce would really hit the spot right now, and the joint we love is about 2 minutes down the road. I swear I can smell it!
