Posted on Friday November 20th, 2009 at 05:27 in Rachael Ray, roundup

I tried a couple recipes this week and, bad blogger that I am, forgot to take pictures. The first was Tomato Alphabet Soup with Parmesan Crisps from Every Day with Rachael Ray. I wish I would have done the crisps in two batches because the ones on th...

  • Rachael Ray Thanksgiving Menus

Posted on Thursday November 19th, 2009 at 15:24 in Rachael Ray, thanksgiving menus

Rachael Ray is really in the Thanksgiving spirit this year. Her talk show has adopted a "you can do it" attitude and have compiled a great list of recipes to make that happen. Here are a few of what I consider to be the standouts from this year's cro...

  • Martha Can\'t Drop It

Posted on Wednesday November 18th, 2009 at 15:07 in Rachael Ray, martha stewart

Ya know, I really thought all the Rachael Ray and Martha Stewart drama was going to be over now that they went on each other's shows. It appears that is not the case, according to this Us Magazine story. Martha went on Nightline and talked some smack...

  • It\'s a Keeper: Basil, Chili and Garlic Chicken

Posted on Tuesday November 17th, 2009 at 06:00 in Rachael Ray, it's a keeper

Here's one way to warm up in cold weather - a spicy dish of Basil, Chili and Garlic Chicken from Rachael Ray's magazine. This dish was done in 30 minutes and was just a touch too spicy for me. My husband thought it was perfect. After making this r...

  • Rachael Ray Bakes with Martha Stewart

Posted on Monday November 16th, 2009 at 05:31 in Rachael Ray, martha stewart

Check out Rachael Ray's appearance on Martha Stewart's talk show on Friday, November 13. Martha took on the task of teaching Rachael (who we know is not really a fan of measuring) to bake a pie. I can't really tell if Martha is being funny or rude,...

  • Rachael Ray Roundup

We finally made our trip on the Napa Valley Wine Train and let me tell you, it was a treat! While the station looked like it was stuck in a 1995 flashback, the train itself was lovely and the food. Oh, the food! So crazy good. I had sole with a tange...

I was hoping someone could help me. Rachel had a cowboy hat custom made for her on one of her trips. It may have been on $40 a day. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the episode or where she was when she had the hat made. The city, the state, or the exact place.

I think the fact that I am such a Rachel Ray fan added to me loving this blog but it wasen't the only reason. I thought posting her recipes was brilliant and that you researched your material well. Oh and the picture of her baby was adorable!

I think it is criminal what she is doing. Raw food is not healthy for any of us. I have seen her "cook" chicken and it won't be done. That is a no-no. Why don't she just tell her audience that raw food is not healthy and then continue on with her food prep.

Why must every meal have one of these foods: rice, spinach, or pasta? She also uses a lot of kale and that stuff is nasty.

I watch Rachel because I think we are related, on the Ray side of our families. Please don't think that I want to meet her. I would probably try to teach her how to cook.

Dear Ms. Rachael Ray,

I have not read any of the Blog comments, actually I want my own opinion to count just to Me.

OK - two reasons for sending you this since I have been Trying to find a method of contacting you for some time now, and, hopefully this is the best way.

1. Well, actually this is Before number 1; did I get the math question right?? :)))))))))))

Before I go on, just a bit about history - me; I have been in the Middle East since 1991 (Saudi Arabia - 1991 to 2003; Baghdad, Iraq - 2003 until now). I had a break in 1995 and again in 2005 but have been here since then. I just recently (2 1/2 weeks ago) moved from Baghdad and am now in the middle of the desert somewhere to the West of Baghdad between there and the Jordan border. Not in the military. I retired from the US Marines in December 1984 after serving for 29 years. I retired as a Chief Warrant Officer - 4. A highly respected rank. Now you know Me.

1. For sure this time - On one of your shows, not too long ago, you mentioned about some "Goop" you use under your eyes to get rid of blah, blah, (could not hear what you said). I would like to know what it is.

2. I have been doing some research and personal Brain Storming (Yes Ma'am, and the math quiz thing was me making a joke), and have come up with some really unique ideas for you to ponder. The more I look at what I am doing the more excited I get about it. I am not sure on the best method or approach, so I finally decided to contact You. I have not discussed my ideas with anyone, especially all the Haters you have (I just will never know why they get out of bed in the mornings). Ms. Ray, I truly believe, when you see all that I have to suggest or show you, that you will be equally impressed. Or at least your Business Managers will.

Please, rest assured this is not a personal Scam of mine to get to meet you.... Although it might be a Good Idea. Yes Ma'am, I have an excellent and timely sense of humor, one that has saved my little tush many times in my life. My favorite quotes, "I find the most wasted day of all is one in which I have not laughed."

I really hope that this is the right venue to reach you. If not, I hope someone will take the time and drop me an Email and let me know a Better way.

Yes Ma'am, I am from Texas. Everyone says Yes Ma'am there, especially me or Josephine will come back and whip me with the Butter Paddle, again.

Please take care and have a terrific day. Be safe and happy, especially be happy.

Highest regards,

Welles

Rachel I have to tell you that it is tough being on top. This world is full of jealous people. I am sure you know this better than a fan watcher telling you. I love your quickl meal shows and I your smile/laughter add to your unique personality. At 6 and 6:30 my TV is on you and my household has all eyes on you. Keey bringing us great, easy meals. Oh, you say, Yumo and I say Yummyisimo. Thank you. Benigna Marko

We watch Rachel's show and it's preety good, though we doubt the 30 minute claim as a lot of stuff is precut, premade, pre-preprepared. In any event , we are Italian and have one "gripe. Why can't Rachel pronounce some Italian food correctly if she claims to be half Italian.? Example...she always refers to "penne'" , a pasta with her accenting the last "e". She says " PE-NNE' " but the true pronounciation is "PE'NNNE" with accent on 1st "e". She is not alone..many "so called" chefs have no clue on pronouncing Italian foods and are, in effect, showing their total ignoarnce. Come on, these jokers all have aides...put those aides to work!!!
