  • The Truth about Lions and Feng Shui

    truth-about-lions

Jonathan Scott presented a very different TV documentary on lions on BBC2 earlier in March 2011. The lion is the only member of the cat family to be social; they live in prides.

    Why?

It is generally acknowledged that, of all the wild cats, the lions are the most successful surviving cat in the current situation where the population of wild cats is declining dramatically. One reason has been the way lions live - they are social and live in groups or prides.

With the help of Professor Craig Packer of the Serengeti Lion Project, Jonathan went through the commonly held views why lions are the only social member of the cat family.

    1. They can hunt in packs so that they can kill much larger prey like buffaloes. This did not convince Jonathan,

    2. The pride can look after a crèche of cubs. They found

  • Has Comet made a good decision in the location of their new retail store?

Wey Retail Park - CometComet, the electrical retailer, on the first weekend of trading at the Wey Retail Park

Comet has just opened a new retail store in the Wey Retail Park on Saturday 20th Nov 2010 with the usual fanfare and special offers.

From a feng shui analysis of this retail park, there is hardly any energy around the site. Therefore, I would not expect the retailers to do well. I have also noticed a constant churn of tenants there.

Google Earth image of site. There is no apparent source of energy in the Retail Park or energy coming to the Park. Wey Retail Park - April 2010

  • Formula 1 2010 series as I see it.

    Sebastian Vettel Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian Vettel, at 23, became the youngest World Champion in the final race in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. I found that it was the most exciting season that I have ever followed with 4 possible contenders on the last race. It was certainly exciting!

I look forward to the 2011 series with anticipation. It is only 15 weeks away.

A look at the teams with their drivers.

Red Bull: They had the fastest car. Vettel: A worthy champion with immense talent. Has a good positive attitude which is shown in how he performs. He also learns from his mistakes. He made a number of serious mistakes in the 1st half of the season but these mistakes did not re-occur. This is a wonderful quality. Webber: He has an attitude of being the victim. He needs to get over this to pr

  • Will the Kuching Hilton remain supreme with the opening of 2 new hotels? (Part 2)

    Kuching Hilton

    Kuching-hilton-aThe Kuching Hilton

Why is this hotel doing so well? What is the feng shui of this hotel like?

Feng Shui is about the flow of the energy in the environment to the property. Secondly, it is about the retention of this energy within the building. With the energy within the building,

There are 2 sources of energy.

    a. From the Sarawak river. The flow of the water is towards the building. This flow brings the energy.

    b. From the hill. This energy flows downhill through the entrance and into the building. This downhill energy goes to the furthest end of the Ground Floor and this so happens to be the coffee shop. This outlet does wonderful business; it is always busy.

  • Will the Kuching Hilton remain supreme with the opening of 2 new hotels? (Part 1)

Kuching, the capital city of Sarawak which is in Malaysian Borneo. Kuching is fast developing to a fine and beautiful city. What makes Kuching outstanding is the river flowing through the centre of the city. It makes it really attractive like London or Paris.

I have been following the rise of the Kuching Hilton since it was operational in the early 1990s. It is now a landmark hotel in the city. It is always full and the staff are maintaining the high standards set by the Hilton Hotel chain, However, as one can expect from a hotel with high occupancy, there can be considerable wear from the persistent flow of guests.

Part 1 - Kuching Pullman and Four Points Hotels

The Kuching Hilton is the busiest 4/5 star hotel in Kuching. It is said to be the top 6 performing property in the Hilton Hotel worldwide chain. Part of this success is due to the good feng shui properties that this building has. The Kuching Hilton has seen off competition for the Ku
