I just got back from spending a week at Peppertree Atlantic Beach in North Carolina. I was called to set up an appointment for an owner's meeting. I told Matt that I had been to one in the last 3-4 months and didn't think I was supposed to go back for another 12 months. I was assured that the timeframe for attending had changed and it was fine for me to attend. On thew day of the meeting I was given a courtesy call to remind me about 1 1/2 hours before the meeting. I went to the meeting at about 1:20PM. My appointment was at 1:30PM. I got in and talked with the secretary to let her know I was there for my 1:30PM appointment. I saw the head guy in the distance and he said "I remember you". I told him I had been in the last 3-4 months and he said I didn't need to attend. He also had told me I had to go through the 60 minute presentation which I was willing to do. He left for his office. He sent another worker out to get the secretary. A few minutes later she came out of the head guys office and told me I couldn't attend the meeting. I went back to my unit and emailed Don Clayton and have heard nothing from him. I can't believe how rude the head person was at the owner's meeting. Nobody seemed to know what to do with me. I think the head guy was extremely rude and had no idea what his job is. He basically was a chicken because he didn't have the guts to tell me face to face I couldn't attend the meeting. And apparently Don Clayton doesn't care either since he never called or emailed me back whils I was at Peppertree Atlantic Beach.

My name is Don clayton and I am the CEO of festiva resorts.I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with Mr. Morris and Festiva Timeshare owner to see if there is any thing that I can do to help rectify the situation. While we are not perfect I am striving to do everything I can to help our members enjoy our product and get them on vacation.
Please let me know if I can help I will respond to you directly.

2 stars Festiva Timeshare Owner

I am the unhappy owner of a Timeshare with Festiva and have been totally unhappy with their outfit and the way they do things. The maintenance fees have almost doubled in 5 years. Finding someplace where you want to go when you want to be there is a challenge. It's not a good deal if you can't ever use it when it's convenient for you.

I have an explorer program that festiva offers purchased in New Oleans. I haven't used it yet but while in the process I was told I would have a one year to use the interval international program as well. Well its been a few months and I contacted interval international who told me they did not have my information. Now I call festiva who now tells me I don't have the interval program that it is for other programs that I didn't sign up for. Now it may be confusing but the interval international was the selling piece for me and my wife I would not have purchased without it. They flat out lied to my wife and I. Now the contract doesn't mention the Interval program but I was told that the contract was for the explorer program not the other. So I would never purchase a property from them or anything else. They lie, lie and lie some more. I am retired and like to vacation. I will soon be in New Orleans and will make it a point to spend several days infront of the property picketing and informing possible buyers not to deal with them. Im sure that my presence alone will cost festiva several thousands of dollars. I will then make it a point to go to other properties and picket. Since I live near Branson Mo that will be my second location. If anyone would like to join me please feel free to email.

5 stars RCI Timeshare Owner

I too was duped into buying timeshare, but with RCI. I unknowingly attended a presentation in Las Vegas a few years back and ended up leaving as an owner of timeshare at the Grandview at Las Vegas. I also am sharing my story, and hopefully helping a few people along the way. Before even considering timeshare please visit http://rcivip.com and get the REAL story about timesharing!
