The site basically allows the visitor to upload there own unique video.
But what makes Mxit Movies totally different is that they offer prizes for best rated video clip.

First Prize $5000.00 for the top rated video
Second Prize $2000.00 for the second best video
Third Prize $500.00 for the third best video

This is completely new and unique. I mean, how many video production sites actually offer any incentive for our amateur clips? Which I think is completely skimpy and cheap seeing that it is our amateur videos that generates traffic to there sites.

Are the Oscars really rellevant in today's film society. It bores me the way we constantly go on about Oscar worthy (Jamie Fox and the soloist) and then in the second breath get annoyed at the often blatant disregard for quality films not being recognised.

Is it not enough to say it was a fantastic performance? Do we have to sit waiting for the nominations and the parties just to be disappointed again? If we don't care for the opinions of the people that give them why are they so great? Why is it so good to win something that a group of people just say you can have? Have you really beaten those people just because someone says you have?
