Food Network Musings

I LOVE the Food Network. It combines the best of many worlds - food, warm hosts, HOT CHEFS and unrealistically gorgeous kitchens. I comment on all of that, plus give cooking tips, recipes.

I LOVED your blog. I don`t think that my T.V even gets any other channels besides the Food Nework.

I don't ever get to watch the food network because I don't have cable. So this was a lot of fun for me! I laughed all the way through the Ingrid Hoffman review. Great little blog!

won't watch Alton Brown any longer because he's ridiculous and when Paula Deen uses y'all 3or 4 times in a sentence that's too much and her cackle is really getting to me. Low key is what I like and Michael Chiarella & Ina Garten fill the bill. I want to learn, not be yelled at, and I want to hear proper English, thank you.

How naive of me> I thought Food Network was a show about food and recipes. Now all I see are younger women with long flowing hair and lots of cleavage with very little knowledge of cooking.

I am an avid food network fan and have watched this search for the next network chef. Next time, would it save the network money and time to look to Bobby Flay's throwdown show and look at the people that go up against him. First of all, they have to be at the top of their field to go against Bobby since he is the best. Then, they have great stage presence, and they are not nervous, they entertain the audience and the best of all, the camera loves them and so do the viewers. All the things you are looking for. Kudos to Emeril buying Emeril Jr. a sous chefs mini chefs outfit. By the time he grows up, he will be able to take his place right along side of his dad. So keep up the excellent work. I put the network on in the morning and keep it there cause frankly there is nothing else on worth watching. Perhaps, other stations will get the idea we viewers do not like all the sex and violence. I dont suggest they do food shows cause you have the only one I will watch I'm 78 yrs young and when I see paula, or Sandra Lee, Ina and all the rest do something I try to do it at home. In fact, I am going to make Joan Chang Bobby's throwdown show (spelling) sticky buns.
