Freedom From The Storm
http://imasurvivor.wordpress.com
This site is dedicated to all the women and children that have survived domestic violence or that are still living the nightmare. Here you will find peace and comfort. Links to help you. But most of all, you will know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
My name is Danna Oxford. I am a domestic violence survivor. I am a member of the Texas Council on Family Violence (TCFV) and the TCFV Survivor's Caucus. I am currently working towards my degree in Social Services so I can better serve the victims and continue my advocacy towards the fight. As a survivor, I know, all too well, about the lifelong affects the physical and emotional abuse can leave. Families are torn apart, friendship gets broken but worst of all...the spirit dies. Leaving the victims wondering if they will ever be able to overcome and be free from the storm. I sincerely pray that if you are a friend or family member of someone you feel is being abused that you speak up and let them know that they are not alone. It is time for us to "break the silence" and start putting the abuser where they belong.
