Looking at exhibitions, festivals, human agents, films, theatres, performances, internet websites and other sources, we collect innovative or simply fascinating ideas, tendencies and interesting projects in order to see a broader picture of the contemporary cultural life in St Petersburg, Russia and beyond.
Proposing a bilingual version (Russian/English) of the blog acknowledges the global character of cultural inspirations we believe in. It also discloses today’s Russian culture as a point of interest to the foreign reader. And for the foreign visitor to St Petersburg we hope our entries will encourage looking beyond the standard tourist realm, and seeing the thriving, bold and open Russia of the authors of this blog.
