What is a fruit fly? A fruit fly struggles with presupposed gender roles. A fruit fly remains the minority yet attempts to infiltrate the majority. A fruit fly is the modern diva, the modern kept woman, the modern harlequin…all in one. A fruit fly teeters on radical, yet still tackles the most conservative of ideas. A fruit fly wants change, breathes change, and demands change. A fruit fly is able to laugh at the surroundings and curse at the surroundings, in one single breath. A fruit fly knows the world, love the world, but expects more of the world.
