very informative and very similar to what we are experiencing here in Australia. Even with the rain we have had this year water restrictions are going to be in-force so we relying on rain water tanks. It is going to become very expensive in Australia to have a garden unless you have rainwater tanks.

I like the perspective of gardening for the purpose of preserving food. I am not paranoid about the end of the world, but I think putting up some food is not a bad idea. Very nice photos as well.

Ron hi,
thanks for visiting my blog.
I checked out yours. Excellent topic! We planted several fig trees this year hoping to grow some figs (even though fig trees are tricky to preserve throughout the winter). We live in Philly suburbs.
I am an amature gardener, and grow tomatoes, peppers, and herbs, but definitely would like to expand.
Cheers! Will visit you blog more.

A great blog about gardening. You can make it better if you can provide a little extra of your garden picture. A good picture do tell a thousand words. Wish you luck in blogging.
