Guys Up A Creek
http://guysupacreek.com
We are a random bunch of guys that have come together to write about what interests us in this moment in our worlds. We come from all parts of life and work in fields such as pharmaceutical, management, aviation, IT and marketing, just to name a few.
Our simple goal is to write entertaining articles about the things that strike us as interesting, humorous, serious, mundane or absurd. You may like some of us, but not all of us. That’s perfectly OK. We think there is plenty of diversity and that you will find something to like here.
We watch sports, play games, quote movies, play with gadgets, raise children, drink beer, coach, read comics, party, offer advice, fly planes, listen to music, laugh at farts, fix computers, read books, play fantasy sports… well you get the idea. We know you do, too… we have cameras pointed at you. We won’t tell your Mothers what we’ve seen, but you should be ashamed of yourself. The point, besides what you did last Thursday with that loofah, is that we’re diverse and happy to be playing here.
Some of what you read by us will be serious, some will be, umm, the opposite of serious. We have the confidence in you to figure that out properly. We do hope that you are not easily offended by sarcasm, snarky comments, profanity, really bad jokes, really bad writing, opposing political, religious or space alien views.

A female CEO of a company twittered that she was having a miscarriage during a board meeting. I am a man who thinks nothing is sacred but many thought that this went too far and… well… that nothing is sacred. So be it. What do we do about it? ...

Dan Brown – The Lost Symbol
No worries, no spoilers of any kind. My first Dan Brown experience was The Da Vinci Code. I fell into the hype, and the book was highly suggested by a buddy. I gave it a whirl, as much for the controversy that I was starting to hear, as well as t...
5 Things I Have Learned About Adopting a Puppy
Long story short, my family adopted a puppy. I’ll leave the why’s out of this, and just share the end result, but just know that we have two little kids under eight, and a dog that’s twelve. We believed we were prepared, because...
Andy and the Jets
Let me set the back drop by saying that the lunch special at work this day was beef lasagna. It was a slice of lasagna about as wide as a floor tile with a dinner roll – how could I resist that? Unfortunately, as I have aged, pasta sometimes sits...
