Homeschool Online. With the internet, homeschooling has become a very progressive type of education. The internet has far more resources than most schools and parents are generally far more able to orchestrate resources for their kids than parents.

A few times a year, I focus on getting caught up in the latest thinking in education.  Here’s what I’m finding: Disrupting Class is a book (and blog) by a HBS Professor, apparently the same who wrote the Disruptive Technology Business Bo...

  • A sad fact: parents don’t care about education. They care about accreditation.

Posted on Thursday August 20th, 2009 at 09:04

It’s a sad fact that I observe daily: Most parents don’t care about education, they care about accreditation. I was talking about this yesterday to my kids and to other parents saying that personally, I’m not that focused on grades....

Non-credit money is the best idea of the world. Non-credit money can solve both national and world economic crisis. Non-credit money is the gift from the growth of economic rationality. Non-credit money is the necessary additional quantity of money in circulation (dM) as percentage (k) of existing quantity of money in circulation (M). dM = kM ;
k = (SUPPLY - DEMAND)/DEMAND ; If non-credit money is emitted according to the cited formula, inflation cannot exist. Also, taxes are annulled for the amount of non-credit money. The consumers pay less and producers get more than today, in the order of credit money. All get from non-credit money.

Dear Sir or Madam:
Very Urgent and Important! Please Reply ASAP! Please Join Together To Execute Google's Project!
Did any member of your organization submit any creative plan to Google Inc.'s project before 2008/10/20 ? A very special feature of the project is that even if any creative plan doesn't win in this competition, Google would like to recommend it to other organizations all over the world interested in funding it.
http://www.project10tothe100.com/intl/B5/submit_your_idea.html
http://www.project10tothe100.com/intl/B5/index.html)
I did submit 7 highly creative and innovative plans for each category except â??energy category requiring high-tech energy professionalsâ??. All of them can be expected to win Google's or world-wide organizations' hearts.
The major theme in any of them is as follows:
By setting up the benchmarking creative and innovative life-long-learning organizations in the families, in all levels of schools and colleges, in any public and private organizations (including governmental, commercial, non-governmental and non-profit organizations), in the communities of those described above, people learn together as a team all kinds of wisdom, including applications of sciences(including math & natural sciences & neuro-science & modern management science & social sciences ) & technology, humanity & liberal arts to all levels of lives, to know how to find all kinds of problems on the Mother Earth, how to solve these problems and how to continuously improve the quality of all on the Mother Earth, including water, earth, air, non-lives and biological lives, etc., and then to propagate them everywhere all over the world.
The purposes of this mail are as follows:
(1)Asking your organization for cooperation and collaboration to execute any of the plans your organization is interested in:
Google's project was announced on 9/24/2008 on CNN, and the expired date to submit the plan was 10/20/2008. So it was too urgent and too impossible for me to finish to write down the plan and then to send it to your organization to ask for cooperation and collaboration to execute it. Google's panel will choose 20 first-class-plans before 1/27/2009, and then post them on the web for world-wide vote on internet during 1/27--2/2/2009. It is still not too late to ask for cooperation and collaboration with your organization.
(2)Because of the limitations by the plan-writing rules of the project on the website, many good ideas, execution procedures and many others couldn't be written down on the plans submitted. Therefore, we need to propagate many issues on 8 categories in relations to the benchmarking creative and innovative life-long-learning organizations to get world-wide brainstorming through all kinds of media, including, feedbacking Q&A and blogs on internet, etc.. They are the cheapest way I can think about or figure out how to market our plans to get world-wide attention to win Google's and the world's hearts that our plans are the first-class ones. If you can think about or figure out the other cheap ways of how to market our plans to get world-wide attention to win Google's and the world's hearts that our plans are the first-class ones, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can e-mail them immediately to all of the organizations I contacted to work together.
(3)If interested, please reply immediately, so that I can send the complete text of the plan for you to review it to continuously improve the whole plan on the media propagation to get world-wide attention.
(4)We can join together to set up a world-wide non-profit organization, something like â?? Global Alliance For The Creative and Innovative Global Village Community's Rightsâ?? or â??Global Alliance For The Creative and Innovative Mother Earth's Rightsâ??, etc., with the operation practice down to the local community level, and world-wide helping each other's issues just like Amnesty International's members helping other countries' members.
Please reply ASAP !
Sincerely yours,
Frank Chou

It's great to read a blog about the big issues in homeschooling and which points to interesting new resources. Mostly, the homeschool blogs are more focused on a family's own journey. Great stuff, keep it up!

The candidates position on homeschooling is unclear but at the end of the day, it'll be politically-driven. The far right candidates will cater to the far right Christians and be homesschooling fan since their "constituents" want it. Ron Paul will be a fan since he is libertarian. Rudy will be aware of how out-of-control this can get in many environments (ie NYC) and how we need to keep track of what's going on (How do we really feel about religious fundamentalists of any religion homeschooling in the US?). The democrats tend to belief that the primary function of schools is to help the underpriviledged climb out of poverty and that the schools need more more funding. And less testing. Oddly, bush is one politician who thinks the federal government needs more control over schools and more testing.
