Housewife in Hollywood
The housewife part is true but Hollywood is just a metaphor for the flashy coolness of all things pop culture. I grew up on old school television. When I was a kid, many networks ago, I’d spend my time after school and before doing homework watching every show I could get via our rabbit eared TV. I got my schoolin' from re-runs of The Brady Bunch, I Dream of Jeannie, Love American Style, Get Smart, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, I Love Lucy, The Partridge Family to the newer shows of the 70's like The Muppets, Little House on the Prairie, The Love Boat, The Bionic Woman, and Eight is Enough. Besides watching the boob tube I was in love with records. My mom had boxes of them, from vintage 78's to classic 45's to the more mainstream 33's. I lip synched and danced around my room to the music and melodies of artist's like Ricky Nelson, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Peggy Lee, Vaughn Monroe, and when I got a bit older all the now retro hits from the 80's.
