Like any business you always know that you can’t please all the people all of the time, although also like any london business you do always try you hardest. The other day I was called by a friend of mine who had seen a review of our hotel on o...

So here it is, July 1st and the silly smoking ban is now in effect. Yes I am a smoker, and so are almost 50% of my staff, so the ban is going to have an effect. That said I do not think it will effect the business either in a good or bad way. [...]...

Last night I sat in my hotel bar watching the 10:00 news on Sky, lots of talk about the new government and new(ish) people involved. But for me the real headline was someting they did not talk about but showed on the ticker. The cost of the royal fam...

Even a back packer's youth hostel is better than this 3*** hotel with no windows. When i woke up in the morning I could not tell if I had slept in a hotel or on the underground platform with trains shaking me off my bed every 3 mins!
Finally one nice thing about the hotel is its location very much in the centre of several eat outs & a decent locality.

Ground floor rooms aren't great are they? On arrival I immediately asked for a different room, but it was "the last one available" and the receptionist said that the room next door was "even worse". Fortunately underground trains stop at midnight as the room shakes so much pieces are falling off the trouser press on the wall!!! Appreciate the booking wasn't made early but for £90 there are better rooms out there. Saving grace = excellent WIFI - how else could I write this blog???

I am actually staying at this hotel next week. I was on the site doing a bit of preparation and I found the blog. What a wonderful idea! It is so unusual to hear directly from the boss of any company. They are normally so secretive. Reading this blog makes me feel like I already know the staff better and that I am welcome. I am looking forward to my stay!

I recently stayed at the Hyde Park Towers and just loved it. I had a breakfast of pancakes and maple syrup...reminded me of home. And then a fabulous go in the SmartSpa. It's a bit unusual at first - you step in to a darkened room and take your place in the comfortable chair. Once you've chosen your settings you just lie back and think of nothing.
Afterwards I felt like the stresses of all my travelling just melted away. 10 out of 10 guys!
