Very interesting site. I started shopping with the J. Crew catalog when I was in high school in the '80's so I basically grew up with the firm. Is it just me, or has J. Crew lost its' way? The clothing has gone from well-made "preppy" item to a lot of prematurely "distressed" clothing ala Abercrombie and others. Their prices have also gone through the roof in recent years. And I've noticed of late in their store in Georgetown (and in their catalogs) the men's section has diminished quite a bit compared to the womens' department.

we are of the same heart and mind! ;) their clothes are FANTASTIC! and like you, they always fit me so well! all i need to do, when i go there, is decide what i like and grab my size. no need to try on -- i know the fit will be GREAT and that, as a result, i will look spectacular! there is no other shop in the world in which i have the same kind of confidence.

your blog is a brilliant concept. :)
