Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) are so called the modern heroes by their government due to their contribution of their country's present economic situations , wherein we can compared it to a sinkable ship. By sending money to the Philippines their government was benefited.
Filipino remittance hits 9.7 billion US dollars (5.5 billion British pounds) in the first 11 months last year 2008 alone. 1.3 billion dollars was sent to the Philippines only on December 2006,highest amount sent in a single month of the year. according the Philippine Central Bank
