Hello, I am Ray. I seem to have left out a word when posting my comment. It should have read I have been on NO meds. I thought that I had proof read it very carefully.

I have had crohns for 10yrs. when it was discovered when they were going to remove my appendix. The Dr. found there was no problem with my appendix and found an section of bowel that was inflamed. He removed 18 inches. It was a shock to say the least. To date I have never been on meds. I try to watch my diet,I have cut out all white products. No white sugar,no white bread,no white rice,no white pasta, just whole grain products. I have found out personaly that this works for me. I have found that when I have to go to bathroom there is not much time to waste. Adding to that though when I know I am going traveling or fishing I do take amodium in pill form(2),this greatly reduces bathroom breaks. I am now 60 yrs.old and retired and lovin life, I hope this helps some people. there is so much to say about our eating habits. Stay away from deep fried foods as much as you can as this sets me off with bathroom trips. We all slip in the food dept. Good luck and God bless Ray

Hi,
I'm trying to get some info from anyone who has been taking humira for awhiele. My best friend has had a really rough past 2 years with crohn's and nohing has been working.Although she has had chrones for many years the last 2-3 have been the worst. She has had aggressive treatment and Surgery is no longer an option as she has very little left. Humira was working but she was getting so many viruses that she couldn't cope so she went off it for now. Just wondering if anyone can tell us if they have had the same experience and how they dealt with it.
Also, I was wondering if the body may get used to it over time or maybe you get less virus as the dose gets lower.
Please, any info would be greatly appreciated! I love this frriend alot but she is getting very frustrated and depressed so any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
