Lola Quilts

http://lolaquilts.blogspot.com/

Hi! I'm Laura. I am an American living in the Netherlands with my husband, Ed of 25 years, who is on an overseas assignment with a company from the United States. I've been quilting for the last 15 years, appliqué being my favorite. I love to adapt traditional designs into something folksy and unique. I collect reproduction fabrics from the 1800's and have more ideas in my head than I can possibly complete. Maybe I should make more miniatures! I love to teach quilting, especially beginners! It's fun to see excitement replace frustration on their faces!

This is a 16" X 20" quilt I finished from a pattern that I bought at Little Quilts. It's by Lori Smith of From My Heart to Your Hands. I love her pattens! This is the first of one of her patterns that I have made - and will definitely be making mo...

In June my husband and I took a drive down to Virginia and Georgia to see our girls and son-in-law. We had a great time and just reinforces my wish to be geographically closer to them! It seems most families are spread apart these days - I still don...

You have some lovely quilts on your blog! I especially like the one in the header. Is that your own pattern?
