Hi, your blog is great. Clever ideas.
I hope to paint a smile on your face when you read how I DESIGN my life with other people's waste and make you think again when you run to a shop next time to buy the latest have-to-have item. Also read how you can craft and be creative for free and be eco-friendly at the same time. I've lived like this for the past twenty years at least, kinda strikes me now that it's five to twelve being green seems to become 'fashionable'. But that's a good thing, better late than never...
Recent PostsLast time I was quite militant, wasn't I? So now for those who prefer to read my blog for that reason, let's go back to showing some of the prettier trash found treasures. I don't want to talk about the pile of ordinary plates, cups, bowls, mugs etc....
Just philosophizing about trash and recycling a bit. But an important renewed explaining about this blog. Please, please read even if you think it's long... And some of the smaller stories from my life as a curb shopper that I haven't gotten around t...
I really wonder what the story is here. Someone decides to repot some indoor plants and buys a bag of 20 liters of potting soil. They end up using not even a tenth of that amount. Place the bag in a (balcony) closet, the attic or something for the ne...
I don't mean creams, lipsticks or other things you smear on your face, but I don't mind taking for example a bottle of nail varnish from the trash. Perfume is expensive, so I don't say no to a free bottle. These varnishes weren't even used and came c...
I love sending my trash all over the world. Preferably I just give it away and I use curb found items as (second) prizes in my contests. But recently I sold my first real trash item through Etsy. I forgot where and how I found this cute knitting spoo...

Hi, your blog is great. Clever ideas.
In this day and age, blogs like this one should be required reading.
Great blog and Hello to a fellow Etsian. Loved your shop.
Love this blog - I like to make things from things I find, too. Those Barbies are awesome and creepy at the same time (that's true for MOST Barbies, I think). I will be back again!
I love reusing things. I have many greeting cards, that were my Mom's. She saved probably everyone she ever got. I'd love to know some of your ideas on crafting with them.
Love this site. WISH I could go shopping with you. I would have a field day!
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting your blog and looking through the stuff you found! Hard to believe the things that people throw away as trash...
Keep up the good work! :)
Everyone knows eco-living is very chic - this blog takes environmentally conscious living to a new level of cool. Hip & original ideas for recycling. A must see blog for those that care about the environment and love creativity!
Use and re-use is the name of the game these days. Our throw-away society is slowly learning to conserve. I wish more people would open their eyes to look around them and pick up trash on the streets and discard it properly, or find a way to make it new again.
I think it's wonderful that you do what you do and I've done it myself too - still do. I've found many many useful and even new items on the curb.
I used to make a living scrapping metal and we made quite a bit of money that way. The way metal prices are today I wish I still could do that sort of work.
I'm looking forward to reading more of your blog.
Glad you're here.
Peace, love and understanding.
I just love reading your blog! You are one clever girl! Keep up the great recycling work, maybe others will catch the fever by reading your blog.
This blog is fantastic,... even better,.. it's good for us!! Thanks for writing it! I love seeing like-minded people floating around on the internet!
This clever recycler makes lovely crafts from discarded sweaters... turns curbside finds into relevant home furnishings... and has a good sense of humor the art of dumpster diving.
I love recycling and finding a new purpose for items. This is a great site! Denise
You're so creative! Love your blog. Great job!
In the city where we reside we are espousing for REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE. I think this is the least we can do to protect mother nature.
I see that you also read some of my favorite authors like Ludlum and Le Carre?
Cheers!
