MachinesLikeUs.com is a resource for those interested in evolutionary thought, cognitive science, artificial life and artificial intelligence. It encourages relevant scientific research and analysis, posts current news and disseminates articles that promote the following concepts: 1) Evolution is the guiding principle behind life on earth; 2) Religions and their gods are human constructs, and subject to human foibles; 3) Life and intelligence are emergent properties based upon fundamental mechanics, and, as such, are reproducible; 4) Living organisms are magnificent machines â robust, dynamic, self-sufficient, precisely tuned to their environment â and deserving our respect and study. You are invited to participate in the venerable quest to build Machines Like Us.

An excellent site for the latest science news -- especially news related to artificial intelligence and robotics. The site puts forth a strong atheist point of view, as it believes that science and religion are incompatible -- a point on which I agree. This is an important difference between it and other science sites, few if any of which make such a essential stand.
Machines Like Us also publishes comprehensive interviews with leading scientists and researchers, which are second to none.
