all about pretty tasty goodness. I. LOVE. FOOD. Good food, that is. When I go on vacation, what I remember most, instead of landmarks, is what I ate. My taste buds start stirring when I recall a memory. This kind of obsession has actually made me a really good cook pretty fast. Maybe my taste buds are highly evolved, but I can remember food I’ve eaten well enough that I can replicate it, or at least something very close to it. Its kinda funny, even my mother is extremely baffled and pretty impressed with this skill, because I only started cooking more or less ten years ago!
Always a voracious reader or various subjects, I pretty much inhale information related to nutrition these days. But I don’t just eat tofu and brown rice (although I used to be a vegetarian for many, many years but bacon was always my down fall), I will only eat it if its good and healthy, but the emphasis on good. Which is to say, I am far from any crunchy-granola. This love of good food has been extended to my family. One day, I came across a pretty lengthy article about how nutrition strongly affects children’s growth that it can alter genetic destinies. This woke me up since I had a child that was the anti-thesis of me: she did not want to eat. Pretty much, this is how started I started on reading nutrition boxes at super markets, or doing research for hours, trying to find the best and best tasting for my children. I rationed that if they are only going to eat a little, then it better count high on the nutrition scale. There’s so much really good, really useful and really eye-opening food-for-thoughts out there, that I decided to share it with all of you. Please leave me comments– I would love to know what your thoughts are!
