Morning Star Design
http://morningstardesign.blogspot.com/
Internationally known Folk Artist, Gary Borgnis, is Morning Star Design. Established in 1989, Gary works from his home-studio along the Connecticut shoreline. His contemporary folk art is a combination of an Old World look with images and thoughts that reflect our current culture. The strong, subtle, and powerful images that define his creations have evolved from a lifetime of art study, travel, New England roots, curiosity, and a fascination with all things. Each one of his wooden designs involves a minimum of several steps ensuring the quality and detail of every piece. From hand picking each piece of wood at a local lumber yard, to hand-carving, hand-painting, and hand-lettering each design himself, every creation is truly one of kind. His art work has been exhibited and sold at the New York Museum of American Folk Art and to other gift shops, galleries and collectors across the United States, Canada, France, Ireland, England, Germany, and Japan.
