Since my kids are small, they look up to me to “recommend” what to gift their mommy (that is, my wife) for Mother’s Day! Last year, they got a beautiful hand-made card and I pitched in with a snapshow DVD I got made from Smilingsnaps.com The DVD had a musical show custom-made with our family pictures- right from my dating days with my wife and our marriage and then the kids. It was so cool! Finally, we went out in the evening for a Mother’s Day special dinner at our local steak house!

I was looking on-line and found this blog for mothers day gifts. I gave my mom (for Christmas) a alphabet photography sign that said "Mom" and she loved it. It is photography of objects that look like letters of the alphabet, I saw the idea on Oprah. I ended up finding 3 or 4 website that sell these Letter Photos, and all of them are equally as good. The price ranges from $25 per photo to $4.00 per photo. My Mom, LOVED it, and I was able to find a frame from Target for like $15.00 and its nice. Anyway, I went for the $4.00 photos, lol I got them from www.alphabetphotography.ca (I think) go to google and type in alphabet photography, and you will find it. :) Good Luck!!

I've bought an original La Fleur D'Or brooch for her. It's made from real leaves preserved in gold. I was fascinated by their creations because it captures a moment of life forever. Just like I have captured the life she gave to me, I wanted to give her a piece of golden life to carry above her heart. I think I will keep her smile forever with this gift. She loved it. A word of caution though, La Fleur D'Or jewelry is really hard to get. I had to beg and bribe to get my hands on one. After I've sent them an email they replied me back, I had to convince them to sell one to me as they only sell and deliver in shop. This is because they create the pieces only on order specially for the person. They say that they get the inspiration for the piece from the person.
