I have had two Zen MP3 players. Each unit had issues, one being the display would whiteout on power up. Some checking it out I found then plugging the ear cord the display would flash white. The problem with the unit was worse the longer I had the unit. Then I was whiteout period. This problem started two months after the unit was out of warranty. Creative Labs response was buy another one and here is the web page. Not having learned my lesson the first time I bit. The second went the same way of the first, but did not waste anytime doing it. Returned for refund, no luck there, just replace it. I have note from other ppl who have had the same problem. They referred to it as "WSOD", White Screen Of Death. Might want to think about it before buying one. I have a HP IPac and it has been flawless for eight years.
